What We Believe

We believe the Bible is the inspired word of God that teaches us all things (2 Timothy 3:16-17). Because of this, we are powerless without it and need to study it.

We believe there is only one God (Deuteronomy 6:4 and John 17:3). We believe He is a literal being with a body, who is almighty, eternal, immortal and the Creator.

We believe Jesus Christ was born of the virgin Mary. He is the only Son of God. He now mediates between God and us (1 Timothy 2:5).

We believe the Holy Spirit is God's divine power. It is how God works in the lives of His people (Acts 1:8).

We believe man was created without fault. Due to sin, man fell under the curse of death. Death is the end of all life. Salvation is needed because of sin and death (Romans 3:23).

We believe salvation is the process made possible by the grace God has shown us through the gospel. The gospel is the ministry of Jesus. This includes his death, burial, resurrection and teachings (Acts 8:12). We must accept this gospel, repent and confess our sins, be baptized (by immersion) and exhibit Christian growth and living to be saved.

We believe we are assured the victory in the future even though it may be difficult. Jesus will rule in the Kingdom of God here on the earth. This will follow the return of Jesus Christ and the resurrection of the dead to life (1 Corinthians 15:51-53 and 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17).
